Sofia Lelis

Research Assistant

Sofia is a multimedia graphic designer and researcher. She has a BA in Social Communication from University of Blumenau (Brazil), a Master in Multimedia from University of Porto (Portugal).

Her creative and research practice are tools for conveying her curiosity, often questioning reality. In graphic design, she works with applications for printed and digital media, exploring the material, technical, social, and discursive possibilities of images and interactive interfaces. Her research interests range from the image to digital culture, focusing on human subjectivity, local and historical contexts.

At the Lab, Sofia is a research assistant working on a project with the Library of Fribourg, exploring how technology can enhance the collective identity and connection with the territory.
