Sofia Lelis

Research Assistant

Sofia is a multimedia designer and researcher. She has a BA in Social Communication – Advertising from the University of Blumenau (Brazil) and a Master in Multimedia from the University of Porto (Portugal). Her creative practice is a tool for expressing curiosity, challenging perceptions of reality, and exploring the material and discursive possibilities of design. Her research interests range from the image to digital culture, focusing on human subjectivity, local and historical contexts.

At the Lab, Sofia is the research assistant for the second phase of Èvokâ, a project on reviving digitized heritage, in partnership with the Bibliotèque Cantonale et Universitaire de Fribourg and the National Library of Switzerland. It explores how technology can enhance collective identity and connection with territory.
