Introduction
Over two weeks, the research assistants combined skills in concept, interaction and electronics to produce their own individual interactive lamps.
From experimentation with LED components, their drivers and various materials, the four research assistants used this workshop to play with light as an interactive material.
Working on individual concepts, each chose an LED effect and developed it into an object with a specific function, context of use and experience. To do so they combined skills in 3D modelling, design, engineering, electronics, and manufacturing, balancing requirements of their concept with the practicalities of production.
